The Emblem of Tikrit University contains the following
meanings:
1- The name of Tikrit city .
2- The emphasis on the importance of Knowledge “ And say, O God increase my
Knowledge ” .
3- The Arabic – Islamic star (octagon star) carried over the name of Tikrit
University, which is written in Kufi calligraphy in form of minaret that
symbolizes Arabic – Islamic Civilization .
4- The pencil which is a symbol of knowledge and learning .
5- The lines that surround the octagon star, which refer to the light that
radiates from knowledge.
