Development & Continuing Teaching Centre
The center lies inside the university campus in Al-Qadissiya . It has been modernized in 2004.It aims at training and developing scientific, administrative cadres. It is joining the four following units:
- Methods of Teaching Unit The tasks of this unit summarized in opening training courses that restricted to the academic cadres. It is focused on developing the academic efficiencies, use the right ways to convey the information and the right manners to deal with students… etc. Wherewith academic experiments and scientific efficiencies would improve.
- Unit of Continuing Teaching It aims at providing training opportunities to the faculties. Regarding knowledge and administrative fields; through making use of up-to-date scientific means and other training services.
- Unit of Information & Computer : This unit aims at presenting services and experiments in computer as well as data systems field; through employing the communicative means, viz., internet. Besides, opening courses for staff, postgraduates and the other institutions.
- Unit of English Teaching The importance of this unit exists on rehabilitating the postgraduate students through which they can get the certification of English competence. Raising scientific competence of English language for the staff relating to the important role that play within this condition. Nevertheless, the training courses that arranges for other directories.
Students' Centre The center sites on the university complex in al-Qadissiya district. It had been built in 2002 , to activate the out classroom life and embraced students energies in literature ,art ,applied sciences, sport and other science activities .The center aims at providing an entertainment means that make their lives more stable .the preoccupation in the academic activities only lead them to fall into psychological disturbances , become inactive make them a data transmitter ;and that will effect negatively on their acceptance to the sciences and knowledge .It also emerges university role in serving the public through increasing the office hours and invests faculties and students energies to serve each other . In addition to the previous roles that the center would carry on ,it may serve the governorate community by providing elite cadres in literature , art, sciences educational and sport.
The activities made within this centre can be summarized as follows: 1- Literary Activity : It includes the organizing of poetical and speeches festivals as well as books fair, forums and conferences. 2- Scientific Activity: It looks after students scientific innovations and their researches for different fields. It also take apart in arranging scientific fairs for students products in various fields organizing conferences relating to postgraduates research. 3- Sport Activity: It looks after the scientific sports abilities to all colleges and chooses universities team that represent at home and foreign participations. 4- Artistic Activity: It deals with artistic gifts in paint, sculpture, ceramic, sketch, ornamentation, theater, acting and music and performances troupes, orchestras and ensembles to colleges and chooses who represent the university. 5- Recreational Activity: It deals with arranging journeys, programs and scientific, entertainment competitions for students. Organizing students' handmade bazaars and other related activities. 6- Issuing monthly or biweekly student journal : Which concerns with publishing the literature ,scientific ,artistic ,sports, essays and news .Besides the interviews that are made with eminent teachers, it records students suggestions and opinions to be a free window that could be used by students to what they think be useful for the university and the local community as well .
Cultural Centre The cultural center for the university, institution or state considers the contact means with community .Through which community identifies the artistic, cultural and scientific activities. It is the university mirror that informs the mass of all artistic, cultural and sciences activities and makes it reachable to all social years through the cultural, scientific forums, artistic fairs and technical courses.
Cultural Center
The center fosters various recreational and cultural activities that take care of teaching staff , their families as well as extending social relations with the local community. The center is also responsible for holding scientific conferences and meetings at different educational levels…etc.
Aims & Goals the Cultural Center
1- Spreading out national, social and cultural awareness. 2- National heritage interest. 2- Tiding the friendly relationships among the university staff. 3- Improving university artistic, literature and scientific activities . 4- Strengthening the friendship Ties amongst university family. 5- Creating cultural activities in cooperating with colleges and public organizations. 6- Setting up artistic fairs at vacations . 7- Providing needs of accommodation and hospitality for Scientific references and cultural forums. 8- Implementing university council resolutions. 9- Handling the artistic, administration and financial affairs of the center.
